A Really Fun and Cool Illusion (Pls RT)

The only instruction for this is...

...just look at the + that's right in the middle of the pink dots arranged in a circular arrangement. Focus on that + for awhile, and you will see something happen.

The pink dots!

They, they... they disappear!

OK, back to work.

Note on Engine Alpha Article Timezone Settings

To all regular readers of Engine Alpha,

Thank you for your kind support and the many cool e-mails sharing your stories/views.

Just to keep you informed, I have just readjusted the timezone setting for Engine Alpha's Drupal-based content management system.

For a while I would wonder why I was not able to find an article of a particular date. This was because, prior to today, all my content were posted with +0000 (GMT). In the process it caused several of my industry update articles to be "timestamped" a couple of hours before the respective news even happened. I didn't realize this early enough due to my busy travel schedule, and so am only able to rectify this now.

Short of saying I get premonitions about hot developments in industry (aherrmmm...), considering I'm in Asia anyway, I will be reverting to the more geographically suitable +0800 as of today, Apr 16, 2009.

Thanks for your understanding.

The Redeem Team Does Just That

Team USA's basketball team walked into Beijing with a mission – to restore the tarnished image of USA basketball to the luster it once had in 1992. Dubbed the “Redeem Team,” they were out to get rid of the stigma of two bronze medals in Athens 2004 and the 2006 World Championships. A lot of skeptics doubted that the rag-tag team could accomplish much in Beijing, but the doubts were quickly quelled after a dominating performance in their first game against host team China.

If Michael Phelps Were A Country...

Michael Phelps' performance in the 2008 Beijing Olympics has been hailed left and right as the greatest show in sports history. To date, Phelps holds the most gold medals by a single athlete (14, including the eight we all know so much about), as well as a host of other Olympic records.

This is an update about... nothing

This is an update. To what I have no idea. It's just an update.
